What is it?
Oudh is extracted from the tropical tree Agar Aquilaria , when this tree becomes infected with a specific fungal species; Phialophora Parasitica, the heartwood of the tree forms a precious, dark and strongly scented resin as protection against this fungus. Because the Aquilaria tree is rare and the process of resin formation and harvesting is so complex, Oudh is one of the most expensive types of fragrances in the world.
